Let \(X\) be a smooth projective algebraic curve of genus \(g \geq 4\). Denote by \(M(n,\xi)\) the moduli space of stable vector bundles of rank \(n\) and determinant \(\xi\). The objects studied in this paper are the Hilbert scheme \(\text{Hilb}^P_{M(n,\xi)}\), for \(P\) a polynomial of degree \(\geq 2\), the space \(\text{Mor}_P({\mathbb G},M(n,\xi))\) of morphisms to \(M(n,\xi)\) from the Grassmannian \({\mathbb G}= \text{Grass}(n-r,{\mathbb C}^n)\), with \(r\) an integer with \(0 <r <n \), ``where \(P\) is the Hilbert polynomial associated to the Grassmannian \(\mathbb G\)'', and ``the moduli space of stable bundles over \(X\times {\mathbb G}\)''. Namely, the authors describe an open subscheme of \({\mathcal HG}\), ``the irreducible component of the Hilbert scheme \(\text{Hilb}^P_{M(n,\xi)}\) containing \(r\)-Hecke cycles'', and an open subset of the ``irreducible component of the scheme \(\text{Mor}_P({\mathbb G},M(n,\xi))\) that contains the \(r\)-Hecke morphisms'', denoted \(\text{Mor}_P^{{\mathcal H},r}({\mathbb G},M(n,\xi))\). As a consequence they show the following: ``If \(\text{Mor}_s({\mathbb P}^1,{\mathbb G})\not =\emptyset\) then \[ \text{Mor}_{2ns}({\mathbb P}^1,M(n,\xi))\not =\emptyset. \] Moreover \(\text{dim } \text{Mor}_{2ns}({\mathbb P}^1,M(n,\xi)) \geq (n^2-1)(g-1)+1\)''. The connection to the existing literature on the subject is clearly described in the paper, making it easier for the reader to see the main ideas.
