This paper involves finite-sheeted covering spaces of pseudosolenoids. By definition, the latter are hereditarily indecomposable circle-like nonchainable continua. The authors point out that the class of pseudosolenoids contains uncountably many topologically distinct members, that they are classified by their first Čech homology groups, and that the ones embeddable in the plane are all homeomorphic to the pseudocircle. There is a bijective correspondence between the set of topological types of solenoids and the set of topological types of pseudosolenoids. Namely, one assigns to a solenoid a pseudosolenoid with isomorphic Čech cohomology group. Let us state the main results (we presume in Theorem 1.1 that a \(P\)-adic pseudosolenoid is one that corresponds to a \(P\)-adic solenoid according to the preceding). { Theorem 1.1.} Let \(P=(p_1,p_2,\dots)\) be a sequence of primes and let \(S\) be a \(P\)-adic pseudosolenoid. Then, \(S\) admits a \(d\)-fold cover onto itself if and only if \(d\) is relatively prime to \(p_i\) for all but finitely many \(i\). If \(C\) is a continuum and \(\tau:C\to S\) is a \(d\)-fold covering map, then \(C\) is homeomorphic to \(S\). { Theorem 1.2.} (Near Local Homeomorphism Property). If \(E(S)\) is the space of surjective self-maps of a pseudosolenoid \(S\) with the sup metric, then the subset \(C(S)\) of local self-homeomorphisms of \(S\) is a dense \(\mathrm{G}_\delta\)-subset of \(E(S)\).
