Micropolar fluids represent non-Newtonian fluids consisting of randomly oriented particles with rotation velocity \(\omega (t,x)\), which are suspended in a 3D incompressible viscous medium moving with velocity \(u(t,x)\). Together with the pressure \(\pi (t,x)\), these vector-valued functions satisfy the micrpolar system of the following form: \[ \begin{aligned} u_t -\Delta u +u\cdot\nabla u+\nabla\pi- \nabla\times\omega =0,\\ \omega_t -\Delta \omega +u\cdot\nabla \omega+2\omega\\ -\nabla (\nabla\cdot\omega ) -\nabla\times\omega =0.\end{aligned} \] In addition the authors assume incompressibility of the fluid:\ \(\nabla\cdot u=0\). They consider the well-posedness of the initial value problem for this system. Considering the parabolic semi-group genereated by the linear part of the equation, they introduce the notion of mild solutions. They prove a local well-posedness result in Besov-Morrey spaces \({\mathcal N}^{-s}_{r,\lambda,\infty}\). This is a generalization of other results in this direction, which contain strongly singular functions and measures supported in either points.
