The authors aim is to find a fractal characteristic for the Fibonacci system. For this purpose, they consider the Cantor, Koch, and Fibonacci systems and apply the Fibonacci-Penrose group bundle of inverse semigroups. For each of the three systems, the generators of the expanding and collapsing semigroups together with the corresponding equations of motions are presented. For the semigroup formalism, a tree graph representation in form of a Bethe-Cayley tree graph is given. An estimate of the fractal dimension of the Fibonacci system using the Grassberger-Procacia method is obtained and it is shown that it coincides with the analogous estimate in the tree graph representation. | |||
