The main theorem of this article states that given a pair of measured laminations \(\lambda, \mu\) which fill a closed genus \(g \geq 2\) surface, the composition of the earthquake maps \(E_l^{\lambda} \circ E_l^{\mu}\) has a fixed point in the Teichmüller space \(\mathcal T_s\). It is not known if this fixed point is unique.
