The paper is an extension of the work by \textit{H. P. Malyts'ka} [Ukr. Math. J. 60, No. 12, 1937--1954 (2008; Zbl 1199.35192)] who considered systems of the form \[ \partial_t u(t,X)-x\partial_y u(t,X)=\sum\limits_{k=0}^{2b}a_k(t)\partial_x^k u(t,X),\quad 0<t<T, \] where \(X=(x,y)\in \mathbb R^2\), \(a_k(t)\) are continuous matrix-functions, and the system obtained for a function which does not depend on \(y\) is uniformly parabolic in the sense of Petrovsky. In the paper under review the spatial variables are divided into three groups \(x=(x_{1j},x_{2j},x_{3j})\), and the system has the form \[ \left( \partial_t-\sum_j x_{1j}\partial _{x_{2j}}-\sum_j x_{2j}\partial _{x_{3j}}\right) u(t,x)=A(t,\partial_{x_1})u(t,x), \] where the restricted system with respect to the variables \(t,x_{1j}\) is \(\mathbf{2b}\)-parabolic in the sense of Eidelman (see [\textit{S. D. Eidelman, S. D. Ivasyshen} and \textit{A. N. Kochubei}, Analytic methods in the theory of differential and pseudo-differential equations of parabolic type. Operator Theory: Advances and Applications 152. Basel: Birkhäuser (2004; Zbl 1062.35003)]). A fundamental solution of the Cauchy problem is constructed and studied. | |||
