This paper deals with the following problem \[ -\Delta u=V(x)u,\,\, x\in B,\,\, u|_{\partial B}=\phi(x), \tag{1} \] where \(B=\{ x\in \mathbb R^n:\,\, |x|<R\}\) (\(R\leq 1\), \(n\geq 3\)). Set \[ V_0(x)=(n-2)^2/(4|x|^2)+c/(4|x|^2 ln^2|x|), \] where \(c\) is a positive constant. The author proves that if \(0\leq c\leq 1\) and \(V\leq V_0\), then the problem (1) has a nonnegative solution in the sense of distributions for any nonnegative continuous function \(\phi\in L_1(\partial B)\), while if \(c>1\) and \(V\geq V_0\) then this problem doesn't have any nonnegative solution provided that \(\phi >0\). | |||
