Let \(A\) be a complex Banach algebra with the unit \(1\). The Drazin inverse of \(a \in A\) is the element \(x \in A\) satisfying \(xax=x\), \(ax=xa\) and \(a^{k+1}x=a^k\) for some nonnegative integer \(k\). \textit{P. Patrício} and \textit{R.~E. Hartwig} [Appl. Math. Comput. 215, No. 2, 530--538 (2009; Zbl 1182.65067)] presented a formula for the Drazin inverse of the sum of two elements of a Banach algebra under some conditions. In the paper under review the author generalizes their results, see also \textit{J. Ljubisavljević} and \textit{D.~S. Cvetković-Ilić} [J. Comput. Appl.
