The existence of solutions for a class of first order nonlinear impulsive integro-differential equations is considered. The existence of maximal and minimal solutions to the problem is proven by using an upper and lower solutions method together with a monotone iterative technique. Further, two monotone sequences are obtained that uniformly converge to the relevant solutions. An example is included to show the applicability of the result.
