In this paper the authors consider anisotropic problems of the \( \overrightarrow{p\left( \cdot \right) }\)-Laplace type with Neuman boundary conditions. Firstly they provide a suitable framework which allows for treating the problem under consideration with variational methods. A trace theorem that allows the treatment of Neumann problems with nonlinearities on the boundary in anisotropic spaces with variable exponent is formulated and then proved. Next using a direct variational method it is proved that the problem under consideration has at least one and also exactly one solution. For the proof it is shown that a suitable Gateaux differentiable action functional is weakly l.s.c and coercive and convex in case when uniqueness is investigated. Finally the authors sketch further research possibilities within critical point theory for \(\overrightarrow{p\left( \cdot \right) }\)-Laplace type problems. Several research questions are posed.
