The authors construct the first infinite family of hyperovals of the Hermitian generalized quadrangle arising from \({\mathcal H}(4,q^2)\), where \(q\) is even. They also give alternative geometric descriptions of the known hyperovals of \({{\mathcal H}(5,4)}\).
