This paper deals with a class of nonlinear elliptic equations with Dirichlet boundary condition. The main features of the paper under review are the following: (i) the presence of singular potentials of Hardy-type and (ii) the nonlinear term is of critical Sobolev-type. Using the Ekeland variational principle in combination with elliptic estimates and the Lusternik-Schnirelmann category theory, the authors establish the existence and multiplicity of symmetric positive solutions.
