In recent years, many authors have suggested approaches to ``Geometry over the field of one element'' in order to transfer methods of algebraic geometry from global function fields to number fields. See the paper [\textit{J. López Peña} and \textit{O. Lorscheid}, Noncommutative geometry, arithmetic, and related topics. Proceedings of the 21st meeting of the Japan-U.S. Mathematics Institute (JAMI) held at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD, USA, March 23--26, 2009. Baltimore, MD: Johns Hopkins University Press. 241--265 (2011; Zbl 1271.14003)] for an overview. Two of the first attempts were made by the reviewer on the one hand and B. Toën and Michel Vacquié on the other. The current paper fills a gap in the existing literature, as it contains a proof of the equivalence of these two approaches. | |||
