The author studied the following \(d\)-commutator treated by Christ and Journé. \[ T[a]f(x)=\text{p.v.\,}\int K(x-y)\int_{0}^{1}a(sx+(1-s)y)\,ds,f(y)\,dy, \] where \(K\in \mathcal S'(\mathbb R^d)\) satisfies \(|K(x)|\leq A|x|^{-d}\) \((x\neq0)\), \(|K(x+h)-K(x)|\leq A|h|^\varepsilon|x|^{-d-\varepsilon}\) \((|x|>2|h|)\), \(\|\widehat K\|_{\infty}\leq A<\infty\), and \(a\in L^\infty(\mathbb R^d)\). He gives the following weak type \((1,1)\) estimate: \[ \sup_{\lambda>0}\lambda |\{x\in\mathbb R^d; |T[a]f(x)>\lambda \}| \leq C_d A\frac{1}{\varepsilon}\log\frac{2}{\varepsilon} \|a\|_{\infty}\|f\|_{L^1(\mathbb R^d)}. \] The two dimensional case with \(\varepsilon=1\) was proved by \textit{L. Grafakos} and \textit{P. Honzík} [Int. Math. Res. Not. 2012, No. 20, 4785--4796 (2012; Zbl 1254.42023)]. The author approaches the problem by using the idea of his paper [J. Am. Math. Soc. 9, No. 1, 95--105 (1996; Zbl 0858.42008)] and gets the above estimate for general dimension \(d\geq2\).
