The authors prove two fixed point theorems concerning non-decreasing and non-increasing operators in a shell. The approaches are the monotone iterative method and classical fixed point index. As applications, they prove the existence of positive solutions for systems of nonlinear Hammerstein integral equations.

The authors prove two fixed point theorems concerning non-decreasing and non-increasing operators in a shell. The approaches are the monotone iterative method and classical fixed point index. As applications, they prove the existence of positive solutions for systems of nonlinear Hammerstein integral equations.
