The Hardy-Lorentz space \(H^{p,q}({\mathbb R}^n)\) is defined as the space of all distributions whose smooth maximal functions lie in the Lorentz space \(L^{p,q}({\mathbb R}^n)\). \textit{C. Fefferman} et al. [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 191, 75--81 (1974; Zbl 0285.41006)] proved an interpolation theorem for of \(H^{p, q}\) where \(q < \infty\), see also \textit{R. Fefferman} and \textit{F. Soria} [Stud. Math. 85, 1--16 (1986; Zbl 0626.42013)]. The author proves an interpolation theorem for \(H^{p, \infty}\) and gives proofs for some properties of weak \(L^p\) and \(H^p\) spaces, for example, \(L^r\) is not dense in \(L^{p, \infty}\), and \(L^1\) is not dense in \(H^{1, \infty}\). The author also obtains a new square function characterization for \(H^{p, \infty}\).
