The 2-D Cauchy problem to the Euler equations is considered in the paper. \[ \begin{aligned} &\frac{\partial u}{\partial t}+(u\cdot\nabla)u+\nabla p=0,\quad \text{div}\,u=0,\quad x\in\mathbb{R}^2,\quad t>0,\\ & u(x,0)=u_0,\quad | u(x,t)|\,\to\,0\;\text{as}\;| x |\,\to\,\infty \;\forall t>0. \end{aligned} \] It is proved that if the initial vorticity \(\omega_0=\nabla\times u_0\in L^1\cap L^\infty\) has a compact support then the smooth solution \(u(x,t)\) to the problem has the following properties: {\parindent=6mm\begin{itemize} \item[1)] the \(L^p\)-norm of the solution \(u(x, t)\) is equivalent to the \(L^q\)-norm for any \(1<p<q\leq\infty\); \item [2)] the growth rate of the solution \(u(x, t)\) in \(L^p(\mathbb{R}^2)\) cannot be faster than \(t^{\frac{2}{3p}-\frac{1}{3}}\) as \(t\,\to\,\infty\) for \(1<p<2\); \item [3)] the decay rate of the solution \(u(x, t)\) in \(L^p(\mathbb{R}^2)\) cannot be faster than \(t^{\frac{2}{3p}-\frac{1}{3}}\) as \(t\,\to\,\infty\) for \(2<p\leq\infty\). \end{itemize}} | |||
