In [Adv. Math. 223, No. 5, 1731--1781 (2010; Zbl 1186.13006)], the authors associated to a triangulated category a numerical invariant, called the \(C\) level of an object \(M\), which counts the number of steps required to obtain, starting with \(C\), a tick subcategory constructed via some inductive steps (closing under extensions of triangles). In the present paper, the author considers chain type levels and cochain type levels of maps which are some extensions of the above described invariants in the corresponding derived categories. As a consequence of the main result (Theorem 2.4), it is proved that these invariants are equal. | |||

In [Adv. Math.
