Let \(G\) be a real reductive algebraic group and let \(\mathfrak g\) be its Lie algebra. Let \(i\mathfrak g^*\) be the set of all purely imaginary linear functionals on \(\mathfrak g\), and let \((i\mathfrak g^*)^\prime\subset i\mathfrak g^*\) be the Zariski open, dense subset of regular semisimple elements. Let \(X\) be a homogeneous space for \(G\) with a non-zero invariant density. On the geometric side, one can take the closure of the image of the moment map \[ \mu: iT^*X\to i\mathfrak g^*. \] On the harmonic analysis side, one cares about \(\mathrm{supp}\, L^2(X)\), the support of the Plancherel measure for \(L^2(X)\). Let \(\widehat{G}_{\mathrm{temp}}\) be the set of all irreducible tempered representations of \(G\) and let \(\widehat{G}_{\mathrm{temp}}^\prime\) collect the members of \(\widehat{G}_{\mathrm{temp}}\) with regular infinitesimal character. Theorem 1.1 of the paper says that \[ \mathrm{AC}\left(\bigcup_{\sigma\in \mathrm{supp}\, (L^2(X)) \cap \widehat{G}_{\mathrm{temp}}^\prime } \mathcal{O}_{\sigma}\right)\cap (i\mathfrak g^*)^\prime= \overline{\mu(iT^*X)} \cap (i\mathfrak g^*)^\prime.\tag{1.1} \] Here \(\mathcal{O}_{\sigma}\) is the orbit associated to \(\sigma\), and \(\mathrm{AC}(S)\) denotes the asymptotic cone of \(S\) in \(i\mathfrak g^*\). Therefore, this theorem states that after taking asymptotics and intersecting with \((i\mathfrak g^*)^\prime\), the spectral side coincides with the geometric side. By further assuming that \[ \mathrm{supp}\, L^2(X) \subset \widehat{G}_{\mathrm{temp}},\tag{2} \] Theorem 1.2 of the paper says that (1.1) holds without intersecting both sides with \((i\mathfrak g^*)^\prime\). That is, assuming (2), one has \[ \mathrm{AC}\left(\bigcup_{\sigma\in \mathrm{supp}\, (L^2(X)) \cap \widehat{G}_{\mathrm{temp}}^\prime } \mathcal{O}_{\sigma}\right)= \overline{\mu(iT^*X)}.\tag{1.2} \] This sharpens Theorem 1.1. The above two theorems are obtained from results on the wave front set of induced Lie group representations which are summarized in Section 2 of the paper. The current paper is the third in a series of papers on the latter topic. The previous two are [the first author et al., Duke Math. J. 165, No. 5, 793--846 (2016; Zbl 1341.22008); the first author, ``Wave front sets of reductive Lie group representations. II'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:1403.6498}].
