Let \(\{x_j : 0 < j < m-1\); \(x_i < x_j\) for \(i < j\), \(m \geq 2\}\) be a set of real numbers. For a nonnegative integer \(i\), let \(q(i), r(i)\) denote the quotient and the remainder, respectively, when \(i\) is divided by \(m\). Polynomials \(u_i(x)\) are constructed such that, for real \(x\), \(u_i(x) = u{_m}{^{q(i)}}u_{r(i)}(x)\). If \( \mathcal A\) is a real Banach algebra, a Newton interpolating series (NIS) with coefficients in \(\mathcal A\) at \(m\) points is an infinite series of the form \(\sum A_{i}u_{i}(x)\), where \(A_i \in \mathcal A\), and \(x\) commutes with the elements of the algebra. With this definition, some results concerning NIS and their derivatives are obtained as also about functions representable into a NIS. The algebra of these functions forms a real Banach algebra. The results are used to approximate solutions of multiple boundary value problems for ODE's.
