\textit{T. Vetterlein} has introduced and studied in [Soft Comput. 9, No. 8, 557--564 (2005; Zbl 1094.03059)] the notion of a weak effect algebra, a common generalisation of the notions of effect algebra and BL-algebra. He also showed that another generalisation, weak difference posets, is equivalent to weak effect algebras. In another paper [Algebra Univers. 58, No. 2, 129--143 (2008; Zbl 1143.03034)] he demonstrated that BL-effect algebras (weak effect algebras arising from BL-algebras) are subdirect products of linearly ordered ones. Pseudo weak effect algebras were introduced by \textit{X.-H. Zhang} and \textit{X.-S. Fan} in [Fuzzy Sets Syst. 159, No. 1, 95--106 (2008; Zbl 1176.03047)] as a generalisation of pseudo-effect algebras and pseudo-BL-algebras. In the paper under review, the authors introduce one more class of algebras -- pseudo weak D-posets -- and show that they are equivalent to pseudo weak effect algebras. They also study congruences of pseudo weak effect algebras, and generalise the result of Vetterlein demonstrating that pseudo BL-effect algebras (particular pseudo weak effect algebras) are subdirect products of linearly ordered ones.
