By considering a full discretization that combines a temporal discretization with an internal approximation of the underlying space, the authors prove existence for a wide class of initial value problems. The convergence result does not require any regularity of the exact solution and thus is complementary to error estimates for a sufficiently smooth exact solution.

By considering a full discretization that combines a temporal discretization with an internal approximation of the underlying space, the authors prove existence for a wide class of initial value problems. The convergence result does not require any regularity of the exact solution and thus is complementary to error estimates for a sufficiently smooth exact solution.
