A local discontinuous Galerkin (LDG) method for solving one-dimensional semi-linear reaction-diffusion dynamical systems with time delay \(u_t-u_{xx} =f(t,u(x,t),u(x,t-\tau)\) is proposed. The stability of the discrete scheme is proved under the assumption \(f(t,u,v)\) is monotone decreasing in \(u\) and Lipschitz continuous in \(v\). Error estimates are derived under the assumption \(f(t,u,v)\) is Lipschitz continuous in both \(u\) and \(v\). Numerical results for two biological models are presented.
