The author gives an explicit construction of the moduli space of equivariant pure sheaves on smooth toric varieties using equivariant geometric invariant theory (GIT), generalizing the work of \textit{A. A. Klyachko} [Math. USSR, Izv. 35, No. 2, 337--375 (1990); translation from Izv. Akad. Nauk SSSR, Ser. Mat. 53, No. 5, 1001--1039 (1989; Zbl 0706.14010)] and \textit{M. Perling} [Math. Nachr. 265, 87--99 (2004; Zbl 1043.14014)]. In the case of torsion free sheaves, the GIT stability that corresponds to Gieseker stability is constructed. Following the work of Perling [loc. cit.], the equivariant sheaves on toric varieties are glued from lattice graded modules over different toric charts. Such a construction takes advantage of combinatorial tools in toric geometry and avoids some technical difficulties in the general moduli of sheaves construction such as boundedness results. The moduli space of Gieseker stable sheaves on smooth toric varieties has a natural action by the torus \(T\). The fixed point loci can be interpreted as moduli of \(T\)-equivariant sheaves. This work, together with the localization techniques, allows one to compute Euler characteristic of moduli space of Gieseker stable sheaves of torsion free sheaves. | |||

This work, together with the localization techniques, allows one to compute Euler characteristic of moduli space of Gieseker stable sheaves of torsion free sheaves.
