In [\textit{S. Aljančić}, Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 17, 287--294 (1966; Zbl 0168.31001)] and [\textit{L. Leindler}, Acta Math. Acad. Sci. Hung. 22, 87--106 (1971; Zbl 0221.42002)], several theorems were proved for Fourier cosine or sine series with nonnegative monotone coefficients. These are theorems which describe relations between properties of coefficients and smoothness properties of the sum function. In the present paper these theorems are generalized to the class of Fourier cosine or sine series with nonnegative coefficients having the property of the rest bounded variation. This property was introduced by the author in [Anal. Math. 28, No. 4, 279--286 (2002; Zbl 1026.42007)]. | |||
