The paper appeared in that part of the journal which is devoted to pupils of secondary schools. In the paper under a Heronian triangle a triangle is understood whose area \(O\) and all its side lengths \(a,b\), and \(c\) are positive rational numbers. The authors deduces the following formulas for sides of a such a triangle: \(a=m^2+n^2\), \(b=(p^2+n^2)(p^2-m^2)/p^2\), \(c=p^2+(mn/p)^2\) where \(m, n\) and \(p>m\) are positive integers. Its area is \(O=(p^2+n^2)(p^2-m^2)mn/p^2\). He notices that these formulas do not cover all the possible rational Heronian triangles. If \(p\) divides \(mn\) we obtain Heronian triangles whose side lengths and area are integers. | |||

If \(p\) divides \(mn\) we obtain Heronian triangles whose side lengths and area are integers.
