Two methods of projection type for solving nonlinear systems are considered. The first one is a generalization to nonlinear systems of the method of successive orthogonal projections by \textit{L. G. Gurin, B. T. Polyak} and \textit{E. V. Raik} [Zh. Vychisl. Mat. Mat. Fiz. 7, 1211-1228 (1967; Zbl 0189.161)]. A local convergence theorem without second derivative assumptions is proved for a block version of the method. The second version considered in this paper is an inexact method in the sense of \textit{R. S. Dembo, S. C. Eisenstat} and T. Steihaug [SIAM J. Numer. Anal. 19, 400-408 (1982; Zbl 0478.65030)].
