A polycylinder is defined by the space \(\Omega ={\mathbb{R}}^{n'}\times B\), dim B\(=n''\), \(n'+n''=n\) with a metric \(ds^ 2=dt^ 2+d\rho^ 2\), where B is a compact Riemann space, \(dt^ 2\) and \(dp^ 2\) are Euclidean metrics of \({\mathbb{R}}^{n'}\), and B, respectively. The author obtained mainly the following results: (1) Let \({\mathcal E}\) be a commutator algebra of the cylinder algebra \({\mathcal C}\) and let \({\mathcal E}{\hat{\;}}=F_ t^{-1}{\mathcal E}F_ t\) be the \(F_ t\)-conjugate ideal containing the sum \({\mathcal G}{\mathcal O}+K(K)={\mathcal S}{\mathcal O}\), where \({\mathcal G}{\mathcal O}\) is a special commutator ideal of the \(C^*\)-algebra \({\mathcal L}(K)\), \({\mathcal S}{\mathcal O}\) is the \(C^*\)- algebra of singular operators over \(h_ t=L^ 2({\mathbb{R}}^{n'})\) generated by the multiplications in \(Co({\mathbb{R}}^{n'})\), and \(K(K)=h_ t{\hat \otimes}h_ x\) \((=L^ 2({\mathbb{R}}^{n'}){\hat \otimes}L^ 2(B))\). Then \({\mathcal E}{\hat{\;}}\) coincides with the topological tensor product \({\mathcal S}{\mathcal O}{\hat \otimes}h_ x.\) (2) The quotient algebra \({\mathcal E}/K(K)\) is isometrically isomorphic to the function algebra \(Co({\mathbb{E}},k_ x)\). And the \(C^*\)-algebra \({\mathcal C}/{\mathcal E}\) (\({\mathcal C}\) is a cylinder algebra) is isometrically isomorphic to the algebra C(\({\mathbb{M}})\) of continuous complex valued functions over a compact space \({\mathbb{M}}.\) In the last section, the author obtained an extension property on (2).
