The author gives new proofs of already established results in K-theory of discrete valuation rings which enable him to extend the results to some new cases. Such are Gersten's conjecture in the basic equicharacteristic case proved by Quillen which is revealed more, the more we known about the K-theory of fields. Some of Suslin's results are used and his recent conjecture on the K- theory of fields is discussed and connected with Gersten's conjecture. New derivations of the Brauer lifting for a Henselian discrete valuation ring with finite residue field are given. A notion of a generalized Teichmüller map is introduced for a generalized Brauer lifting and some partial results are obtained using Suslin's theorem.
