The authors consider the notions of almost fuzzy open mappings due to Nanda and Ganguly and Saha. They establish a characterization theorem for the almost fuzzy open mapping due to Ganguly and Saha. They also find conditions under which these two types of almost open mappings correlate. In section 3 the authors consider the notion of fuzzy almost continuous function due to Azad. They establish some further characterization of these mappings and investigate other properties. They introduce a new class of mappings between two fuzzy topology spaces with a weaker property than fuzzy continuity and which is proved to be independent of fuzzy almost continuity due to Azad and fuzzy weakly continuity. In section 4, they study all the functions together, to investigate their mutual interactions under different conditions.
