Let \(\mathcal{L}=-\Delta+V\) be a Schrödinger operator on \(\mathbb{R}^d\) where \(V\) is a nonnegative function and belongs to the reverse Hölder class \(RH_{d/2}\). The Schrödinger operator \(L\) generates a contraction semigroup \(\big\{ T_s:\; s>0 \big\} = \big\{ e^{-s L}:\; s>0 \big\}\). The maximal function associated with \(\big\{ T_s:\; s>0 \big\}\) is defined by \(\mathcal{ M}^Lf(x) = \sup _{s>0} \big| T_sf(x) \big|.\) The Hardy space \(H^1_L(\mathbb R^d)\) associated with the Schrödinger operator \(L\) is defined as the completion of \( \{f\in L^2(\mathbb R^d): \mathcal{M}^Lf \in L^1(\mathbb R^d)\}.\) The space \(\text{BMO}_L(\mathbb{R}^d)\) is the dual space of \(H^1_L(\mathbb R^d)\). The space \(\text{VMO}_L(\mathbb{R}^d)\) is a subspace of \(\text{BMO}_L(\mathbb{R}^d)\) and \(H^1_L(\mathbb R^d)\) is the dual space of \(\text{VMO}_L(\mathbb{R}^d)\). The author proves a version of the classical theorem of Jones and Journé on weak\(^{*}\)--convergence in the Hardy space \(H^1_L(\mathbb R^d)\). More precisely, he obtained the following result. Suppose that \(\{f_j\}_{j\geq 1}\) is a bounded sequence in \(H^1_L(\mathbb R^d)\), and that \(f_j(x)\rightarrow f(x)\) for almost every \(x\in \mathbb R^d\). Then \(f\in H^1_L(\mathbb R^d)\) and \(\{f_j\}_{j\geq 1}\) weak\(^{*}\)--converges to \(f\), that is, for every \(\phi\in \text{VMO}_L(\mathbb{R}^d)\), \[ \lim_{j\rightarrow \infty}\int_{\mathbb R^d}f_j(x)\phi(x)dx=\int_{\mathbb R^d}f (x)\phi(x)dx. \]
