Let \(\Omega \subseteq \mathbb{R}^n\) be a bounded domain with \(C^\infty\) boundary. For \(1<p,q<\infty\), the mixed norm space \(L_{p,q}(\Omega)\) is defined as the set of all Lebesgue measurable functions \(f\) on \(\Omega\) with \[ \|f\|_{L_{p,q}}=\left(\sum_{j=1}^\infty \left(\int_{S_j} |f(x)|^p \,dm(x)\right)^{\frac{q}{p} } 2^{j(\frac{q}{p}-1)}\right)^{\frac{1}{q}} <\infty. \] Here, \(\Omega=\bigcup_{j=1}^\infty S_j\) is a suitably defined decomposition of \(\Omega\). The harmonic mixed norm space \(h_{p,q}(\Omega)\) is the closed subspace of \(L_{p,q}(\Omega)\) consisting of all harmonic functions in \(\Omega\). For \(p=q\), the space \(h_{p,q}(\Omega)\) is the Bergman space \(b_p(\Omega)\). The authors show that the Bergman projection \(P\) from \(L_{p,q}(\Omega)\) onto \(h_{p,q}\) is bounded for all \(1<p,q<\infty\). For conjugate exponents \(p,p'\) and \(q,q'\), they establish the duality \((h_{p,q}(\Omega))'=h_{p',q'}(\Omega)\). They, moreover, give a characterisation of the boundedness of Toeplitz operators in terms of Carleson measures. Similarly, the compactness of Toeplitz operators is characterised in terms of vanishing Carleson measures. The characterisations show that the boundedness of Toeplitz operators on \(h_{p,q}(\Omega)\) is independent of \(1<p,q<\infty\). This generalises results in [\textit{B. R. Choe, Y. J. Lee} and \textit{K. Na}, Nagoya Math. J. 174, 165--186 (2004; Zbl 1067.47039)] on the Bergman spaces \(b_p(\Omega)\).
