A class of lattice-ordered groups (\(l\)-groups) is called a radical class if it is closed under convex \(l\)-subgroups, joins of convex \(l\)-subgroups and \(l\)-isomorphic images. It is well known that the radical classes are in a 1-1 correspondence with so-called radical mappings which assign to each \(l\)-group its radical. The author studies special kinds of radical classes of \(l\)-groups that satisfy some additional conditions. For instance, they are closed under \(l\)-homomorphic images (torsion classes), under extensions, \dots In the paper, the radical mappings of such radical classes are characterized and the complete lattices of radical classes of those types are studied. For the lattice of polar kernel radical classes, meet irreducible classes are characterized.
