    Let \(E\) be a Banach space and \(B(E)\) the space of all bounded linear operators in \(E\). Assume that \(X\subset E\); \(F,\Phi, \Omega \subset E^*\); \({\mathfrak L},{\mathfrak M} \subset B(E)\) are arbitrary nonempty sets. A set \(X\) is said to be \(({\mathfrak L}, {\mathfrak M})\)-testing (\((F, \Phi)\)- testing) if for any sequence of operators \(L_ n\in {\mathfrak L}\) (of functionals \(f_ n\in F\)), \(n=1,2, \dots\), which is bounded in total norms and any operator \(M\in {\mathfrak M}\) (functional \(\varphi\in \Phi\)), from \(\lim_{n\to\infty} \| L_ n x-Mx \|=0\) (\(\lim_{n\to\infty} f_ n (x)= \varphi(x)\), respectively), \(x\in X\), the validity of the equality takes place for every \(x\in E\). A set \(X\) is said to be \(\{{\mathfrak L}, {\mathfrak M}\}\)-distinguishing (\(\{F, \Phi\}\)- distinguishing) if equivalence between any two operators \(L\in {\mathfrak L}\) and \(M\in {\mathfrak M}\) (or functionals \(f\in F\) and \(\varphi\in \Phi\), respectively) on \(X\) implies their equivalence on the whole \(E\). In this paper the author considers operator sets \({\mathfrak L}= F_ \Omega\) and \({\mathfrak M}= \Phi_ \Omega\) determined by sets of functionals \(F\), \(\Phi\), and \(\Omega\) and investigates different relations between \((F_ \Omega, \Phi_ \Omega)\)-testing, \((F_ \Omega, \Phi_ \Omega)\)- distinguishing, \((F,\Phi)\)-testing and \((F,\Phi)\)-distinguishing sets in Banach spaces.
