Die Hesse'sche Covariante \(H\) der binären Form \[ f = a_0 (x - \alpha_{1} y)(x - \alpha_{2}y) \dots (x - \alpha_{n}y) \] wird, als Function der Wurzeln \(\alpha_{1}, \alpha_{2}, \dots, \alpha_{n}\) ausgedrückt, wie folgt: \[ -n^2 (n - 1) H = a_{0}^{2} \varSigma (\alpha_{1} - \alpha_{2})^{2} (x - \alpha_{3}y)^{2}\; (x - \alpha_{4} y)^{2} \dots (x - \alpha_{n} y)^{2}. \]
