    The paper under review records an investigation of certain mean value properties of \(p\)-harmonic functions on the 3-dimensional Heisenberg group. This is related to the dynamic programming principles of certain stochastic processes, and one uses some methods developed by \textit{Y. Peres} and \textit{S. Sheffield} [Duke Math. J. 145, No. 1, 91--120 (2008; Zbl 1206.35112)] and by \textit{J. J. Manfredi} et al. [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 138, No. 3, 881--889 (2010; Zbl 1187.35115)] in order to study the corresponding sub-elliptic \(p\)-Laplacian operator.
