Let \(1 < p_1,\,\ldots,\, p_n <\infty\) and \(0 < r <\infty\) satisfy \[ \frac{1}{p_1}+\cdots+\frac{1}{p_n}=\frac1r. \] In this article, the authors studied the \(L^{p_1}\times\cdots\times L^{p_n}\rightarrow L^r\) boundedness of the multi-linear and multi-parameter Coifman-Meyer type Fourier multipliers in the spirit of Hörmander. It is worth pointing out that the boundedness result obtained in this article improves the well-known result of [\textit{C. Muscalu} et al., Acta Math. 193, No. 2, 269--296 (2004; Zbl 1087.42016)], in which the \(L^r\) estimates for the multiplier operators were established under the assumption that the multiplier has smoothness of sufficiently large order, by requiring only limited smoothness. Moreover, the proof for the main results given in this article provides an alternative one different than that in [loc. cit.] and [\textit{C. Muscalu} et al., Rev. Mat. Iberoam. 22, No. 3, 963--976 (2006; Zbl 1114.42005)]. Furthermore, the authors of this article also obtained a Hörmander type multiplier theorem in the weighted Lebesgue spaces for such operators under the assumption that the Fourier multiplier has only limited smoothness.
