Let \(G\) be a finite group and \(m\) be a natural number. In part I [\textit{G. Kaplan}, Commun. Algebra 39, No. 5, 1722-1729 (2011; Zbl 1243.20032)], the third author defined the twisting function \(\tau\colon G^m\to G^m\) by \(\tau(x_1,\ldots,x_m)=(x_1^{x_2},x_2^{x_3},\ldots,x_m^{x_1})\). If \(\tau_m\) is a permutation on the \(m\)-fold Cartesian product \(G^m\), then we say that \(G\) is in \(t_m\) (or \(G\in t_m\)). In this paper, the authors extend results from Kaplan on solvability and nilpotency. The two main results are Theorem 1.1 and 1.2. Let \(L(G)\) denote the set of all prime powers \(q^r\neq 1\) such that \(q^r\) divides \(|G|\), and moreover, for some prime divisor \(p\) of \(G\) the number \(r\) is just the order of \(q\) modulo \(p\). Theorem 1.1. Let \(G\) be a group. Then the following conditions are equivalent: (a) \(G\) is nilpotent; (b) \(G\in t_{m-1}\) for every natural number \(m\) in \(L(G)\). Theorem 1.2. Let \(G\) be a group such that \(G\in t_m\) for some \(m\geq 2\). Then \(G\) is solvable. Furthermore, for groups \(G\) such that \(t_2\) is a permutation on the Cartesian product \(G^2\), they investigate the order of this permutation and its connection to properties of \(G\).
