The author analyzes nonextensive systems close to the equilibrium point by using information theory. To this end he uses the informational divergence associated with the entropy first discovered by Havrda and Charvat and they assume that one of the probability densities so involved is related to the equilibrium position, while the other is associated to the current state. He can so derive an S-theorem and an I-theorem which applies when the Hamiltonian of the system is unknown.
