Let \(\mathbb K\) be a field of characteristic zero and let \(G\) be a finite group. The slice Burnside ring \({\mathbb K}\Xi(G)\) was introduced by \textit{S. Bouc} [Compos. Math. 148, No. 3, 868--906 (2012; Zbl 1252.19001)]. Let \(p\) be a prime. The author now also studies a variant \({\mathbb K}\Xi_p(G)\), where instead of all finite groups one uses only \(p\)-groups. Recall that \({\mathbb K}\Xi(G)\) is a split semisimple commutative algebra, with known idempotents. The author studies the effect on the idempotents of induction, restriction, inflation, deflation. This is then used to find all four nontrivial ideals in the slice Burnside \(p\)-biset functor \({\mathbb K}\Xi_p\). (Here an ideal in \({\mathbb K}\Xi_p\) evaluates to an ideal in \({\mathbb K}\Xi_p(G)\) for every \(p\)-group \(G\).)
