Using the probabilistic Feynman-Kac type formula, the existence of solutions of the Schrödinger equation on an infinite-dimensional space is proven. The theorem is valid for a large class of potentials with exponential growth at infinity as well as for singular potentials. The specific choice of the infinite-dimensional space corresponds to the smoothness of the fields to which the Schrödinger equation refers. The Schrödinger equation is considered for quantum field Hamiltonians (with regularized potentials), on an abstract Wiener space, on spaces of distributions. The procedures admit also Hilbert and Banach or general locally convex spaces. Technically, the paper extends the Doss framework to the infinite-dimensional case and also extends the class of appropriate potentials.
