In this paper, for dynamical systems in \(\mathbb{R}^2\), the local bifurcations of fixed points, being symmetric with respect to a reversing point group consisting of mirrors, two- and fourfold rotations, are studied. These bifurcation are of interest in connection to symmetry breaking phenomena, in particular with respect to the occurrence of dissipative features in (weakly) reversible systems. From the Shubnikov-Belov's work [see the first author, J. Phys. A, Math. Gen. 26, No. 12, 2921-2933 (1993; Zbl 0786.58036)]\ there are seven different point groups. These groups and their generators are given in the following table: \[ \begin{matrix} \text{group} &\text{reversing generator} &\text{nonreversing generator}\\ m' &M &-\\ 2m' &M &R_\pi\\ 4m' &M &R_{\pi/2}\\ 2' &R_\pi &-\\ 2'm &R_\pi &M\\ 4' &R_{\pi/2} &-\\ 4'm &R_{\pi/2} &M \end{matrix} \] (where \(M\) denotes a mirror and \(R_\alpha\) is a rotation over an angle \(\alpha\)). The authors analyze in detail every case, and give the bifurcation diagram of the fixed point bifurcation, respectively.
