The authors study some interpolation and approximation problems in Taylor spaces. A Taylor space is a Hilbert space of functions with reproducing kernel in which the univariate Taylor formula acts as a reproduction formula. It turns out that classical function spaces like Hardy, Bergman, and Dirichlet spaces are special examples of Taylor spaces. Using known results on kernel-based interpolation and approximation, the authors study some problems of interpolation and approximation by shifted exponentials, rationals, hyperbolic cosines, logarithms and Bessel functions.
