The author studies the following elliptic problem: \[ -\Delta u-\mu \frac{u} {|x|^2}=\frac{|u|^{2^*(s)_2}}{|x|^s}\cdot u+a(x) |u|^{r-2}\cdot u+\lambda u, \;x\in\mathbb{R}^N\tag{1} \] where \(N\geq 3\), \(\lambda \geq 0\), \(0\leq\mu<\overline\mu= (\frac{N-2}{2})^2\), \(0\leq s<2\), and \(2^*(s)=\frac{2(N-s)}{N-2}\) is the critical Sobolev-Hardy exponent; note that \(2^*(0)=\frac{2N}{N-2}\) is the critical Sobolev exponent. Under suitable assumptions on \(a(x)\), the author proves the existence of a nontrivial solution to (1). To this end, the author uses variational methods.
