[The articles of this volume will not be indexed individually.] This book is a collection of seven interdisciplinary surveys on modeling tumor dynamics and interactions between tumors and the immune system. The goal is to provide an accessible, comprehensive report on the field and to help define a framework for future interdisciplinary research activities. Modeling and simulation of general behavior of immune systems are also discussed. The surveys should provide a complete description of the topics general tumor biology modeling, growth kinetics, kinetic cellular theory, tumor-immune system interactions, heterogeneity and growth control. The main features of each survey are put into current context; and various models and their related analysis interpretation and use are described. A glossary of scientific terms in immunology and biology, as well as simulation techniques and problems are presented. The book is an excellent resource and survey for applied mathematicians, mathematical biologists and biologists interested in modeling methods in immunology and related sciences.
