The authors consider a Lévy process in the space of \(p\)-adic numbers. They consider the Hausdorff dimension of spherically symmetric Lévy processes which are used to describe the relaxation in hierarchical systems. They study a physical system that evolves in time by jumping from state to state in a hierarchical space. The transitions between states are thermally activated, with rates determined by free energy barriers separating the states. The simplest case is a system with a linearly growing, with distance, set of barriers. For such a system one has the temperature-dependent power law of relaxation dynamics. Another case is a system with barriers growing slower, proportionally to the logarithm of the distance between separated states. In this case the dynamics of the system satisfies, for large \(t\), the Kohlrausch law.
