The paper presents a class of asynchronous parallel multisplitting two-stage iteration method for a system of weakly nonlinear equations of special form (arising in the discretizations of some differential or integral equations). The authors exploit the efficiency of high-speed multiprocessor systems and the special structure of the weakly nonlinear system. The global convergence and local convergence properties of these new methods are discussed. Based upon this multisplitting two-stage iteration, a new multisplitting two-stage accelerated overrelaxation method for parallel solving of the weakly nonlinear equations is described. Numerical examples are performed and the correctness of the theoretical results are confirmed.
