The authors examine the effectiveness of three methods, namely domain perturbation method (DPM), domain transformation method (DTM) and direct method (DM), for simulations of flows with corrugated boundaries. DPM which approximates the shape of the boundary is applicable only to very small corrugation amplitudes. DTM enforces exact boundary conditions and provides a spectral accuracy, but is very laborious in implementation due to complexity of field equations. DM enforces flow boundary conditions and is simple to implement. When corrugation amplitude or wave number becomes large, DTM is recommended.
