As usual, a subspace \(Y\) of the Banach space \(X\) is said to be Chebyshevian if any \(x\in X\setminus Y\) has a single nearest point in \(Y\). Let \(P_Y\) be the corresponding metric projection. By \({\mathcal{A}}_F\) we denote the class of finite dimensional subspaces of the Hardy space \(H^1\), which are analytic in a neighbourhood of the closed unit disk. The author gives a characterization of Chebyshevian subspaces \(Y\in {\mathcal{A}}_F\) and of Chebyshevian subspaces of \(H^1\) of codimension one. Then he shows that for a Chebyshevian subspace \(Y\subseteq H^1\) of codimension \(n\geq 2\) its ``quasiorthogonal subset \(Q(Y)\)'' consists of functions having at most \(n-1\) zeroes. Other particular Chebyshev subspaces of \(H^1\) are also studied. The linearity, continuity and Lipschitz continuity of the metric projection \(P_Y\), with \(Y\subseteq H^1\) Chebyshevian, is analysed.
