The authors introduce the concept of a snap-back repeller and scrambled sets for a continuous mapping from a general Hausdorff topological space into itself, as well as \(n\)-adicity of a mapping. They show that: the existence of a snap-back repeller implies that an iterate of discussed mapping is 2-adic, 2-adicity implies the existence of two uncountable scrambled-like sets (referred as super scrambled and a \(z\)-focused set), the existence of a super scrambled set implies the existence of an uncountable collection of ergodic continuous invariant measures with pairwise disjoint supports which are limit sets of trajectories under the iterate of the discussed transformation of a super scrambled set.
